Vägen till "rättvis globalisering" och "anständigt arbete": övernationella normer, industriella relationer och arbetsmarknadsreglering

Abstract

Forskningen inom detta projekt analyserar kritiskt den pågående konfigurering av globala och regionala migrationsregimer inom ramen för global fleranivåstyrning (så kallad multi-level governance). Huvudsyftet är att kartlägga internationella institutionella arrangemang för grundläggande arbetsnormer och migrantarbetarnas rättigheter samt att undersöka deras betydelse för hantering av migration inom det "asymmetriska" globala styret, liksom deras inverkan på den pågående omvandligen av globala och regionala politiska ekonomier. Olika studier inom projektet undersöker utformningen av globaliseringens "sociala dimension" och en inkluderande migrationsstrategi som bejakar mänskliga rättigheter. Fokus ligger på ILO: s omformulering av social rättvisa i termer av "anständigt arbete" för alla arbetstagare, inklusive de som arbetar i den informella ekonomin. Studier identifierar de viktigaste multinationella, statliga och icke-statliga aktörerna, deras diskurser och strategier för att främja global social rättvisa. Särskild hänsyn tas till post-socialistiska omvandlingar i och europeisering av länderna i Central-och Östeuropa. I detta sammanhang undersöks möjligheterna att främja europeiska sociala modellen i hela det utvidgade EU, med hänsyn till EU: s svar på 2008 finanskrisen.
